Week in Review: Travels to Chicago, San Fransisco and the Ryder Cup!

It’s been an action-packed couple of weeks! From San Fransisco to Chicago to Milwaukee and back to Minneapolis for the Ryder Cup! Here are some highlights from our adventures:

Flowers-at-Mission-Dolores-Market-San-Fransisco“I see them bloom for me and you. And I think to myself, What a wonderful world.” I couldn’t help but smile (and let’s be honest, walk in and what else they had to offer) as I walked past this darling market in Mission Dolores, San Fransisco.

View-from-Golden-Gate-Bridge-San-FransiscoThe next night I headed to the Golden Gate Bridge just before sunset, and the views were phenomenal! While it was a chilly walk, it was a clear night (no fog!) and I snapped an embarrassing number of photos.

Next stop: Chicago. When I arrived my friends had already eaten lunch, so I took matters into my own hands. Made a beeline for the 3 Arts Club Cafe aka “a posh haunt inside Restoration Hardware combining a coffeehouse, wine bar & American restaurant.” Let me tell you, it lives up to the hype! The next time you’re in Chicago, I’d highly recommend swinging by. And plan extra time for exploring each floor of RH Chicago – design inspo for DAYS.

Like this chandelier filled hallway…

And this dreamy lounge on the top floor…

After a quick stop in Milwaukee for my grandma’s 90th birthday party (!!!) I made my way back to Minnesota and was pleasantly surprised to find the weather was still summery. Sundays-Lake-Minnetonka

Which turned out to be PERFECT for the Ryder Cup.  Ryder-Cup-2016-MN
We had a blast wearing full on red, white & blue and cheering on Team USA. We also got to catch up with friends from out-of-town all while spending ample time outdoors.

What have you been up to this fall?

Looking for Adventure…

I know, I know, I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been too busy soaking up the start of summer and adventuring.

Adventuring (verb): To engage in hazardous and exciting activity, especially the exploration of unknown territory. Well, maybe less on the hazardous side, more on the exciting side…

Adeventure #1 was to NYC over Memorial Day to hang with my fellow JCR Girls Jocelyn & Aislinn!

New-York-Trip-Brooklyn We ♥ Brooklyn.

We even went on a mini adventure to J.Crew Bridal!

From Atlantic to Pacific
Adventure #2: My first trip to Cali followed shortly after.

I met up with the Love Your Melon Tour in LA to assist with marketing strategy and event promotion. They currently have a team of college students from across the country traveling throughout the US. They’re visiting hospitals dressed as superheroes and personally delivering hats and smiles to children battling cancer! It’s truly inspiring. Learn more about Love Your Melon and check out their line of Buy One, Give One products.

Adventure #3: Enjoying the great outdoors, back in MN.

Since I’ve been back, I’ve asked some important people some important questions…  Will-You-Be-My-Bridesmaid.jpg

The good news is – they all said YES!
Let the games begin. #mandm2015

People on Pinterest Love J. Crew!

It’s true…people on Pinterest love J. Crew.
Or perhaps it relates to the fact that I love Pinterest and J. Crew and the tendency of those I am following to also love J. Crew is extremely high…

But I am gonna go with my gut reaction: People Who Pin Love Their Loafers, Jackies and Matchsticks.

A simple keyword search for “J. Crew” on Pinterest yields thousands of results. And the best part? You get a free trip. An exclusive, all-expense-paid trip down memory lane! A Pinterest search like this can blast you right back to the past, no time travel machine needed.

As a true Crew lover, you will instantly recognize catalog covers from years past. You will relish in the memories of a predominately preppy J. Crew line, you will laugh at the loads of argyle and the waif-thin models frolicking in fields. The skirts that are far too long and the wedding dress disasters. The first cast of Crewcut models and the men standing on sailboats looking not-so-confidently into the distance.

Yep…keep scrolling through…

Sure, there is tons of new stuff featured on Pinterest too (sometimes you even get a sneak peek at future lines)…but that will just make you want to spend money. This free, {you heard me right, folks} all-expense-paid trip back in J. Crew time won’t cost you a dime. Plus, you will lust after articles of clothing you can no longer purchase, which will really save you money. Pin them instead and you won’t get upset over it!

…wait, stop scrolling…I dare you to stop…

I bet you don’t have your fill of colorful Crew pics yet! Time to head over to JCrewing for more!
