Now that we’ve gotten a good number of the clothing-centric sales out of the way, it’s time to stock up on all of your favorite beauty products. These items rarely go on sale so there’s no better time to fill your cart up – AND there are so many things that could be perfect as stocking stuffers!
Nailing down a beauty routine involves a lot of trial and error. You not only have to find what works for your skin, you also have to find products that help you achieve the look you are going for. Finding a foundation that gave me both coverage and a bit of a glow for example seemed like almost an impossible task. I know I love seeing what other people have in their makeup lineup so I wanted to share mine with you.
I used to always have the “save” mindset when it came to makeup. I never wanted to spend too much, but honestly, I probably spent MORE trying out product after product because they just weren’t right. So many of these items might seem like more of an investment up front, but if you get what you’re looking for with the first shot it’s worth it. Plus, who doesn’t love those Sephora Beauty Insider points?!
What beauty products do you swear by? In the next few weeks I’ll be sharing my skincare routine as well so stay tuned!
Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like the promise of a colorful new eye shadow palette for my collection. It’s the one time of the year I don’t have to justify my want of designer mascara or sparkly caviar nail pearls because that’s the beauty (see what I did there?) of gift-giving season.
So I say away with you practicality! Pop open a can of Champers and treat yourself (and the ladies in your life) to something pretty, like one of these gems below:
A few months ago I did a post on my favorite beauty items. Based on recommendations from friends, (I’m not a huge fan of trial and error) I’ve made some additions to that list.
Biore Charcoal Cleanser: This stuff is really amazing. My face has never felt so good with another cleanser, and it’s only $6.99! The charcoal in the cleanser helps to draw impurities out of your pores so you know you are getting a deep clean.
Laura Mercier Highlighter: I had wanted a highlighter for awhile and decided to go with a powder version. The liquid seemed like too big of a step to start out with. The Laura Mercier highlighter is great because it is subtle and not too glittery like some of the others out there.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer: My (ex) boss and (forever and always) New York Spirit Guide is obsessed with Sephora. This benefits me because I get all of the best tips from her on what to buy (oh, and all of the samples she doesn’t want)! She gave me two samples of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer and after the first use I was sold. Especially now that it’s summer I’m happy I don’t have to worry about my eye makeup melting off from the always present humidity!
